Hello,
My name is Harri, I am a tea drinking, knicker stitching MA graduate from Gloucestershire. For a very long time now I have known that I want to create an intimate apparel brand that women from all walks of life can enjoy. This blog post marks the beginning of that journey.
Violet and Emily Limited is due to launch in the Autumn of 2018. It aims to be the most fashion forward and affordable intimate apparel destination the UK high street has to offer.
The motivation behind the company comes from experience of not being able to find appropriate nightwear or lingerie that is fashion forward and doesn’t break the bank.
I always promised myself that when it came to creating a brand I wanted it to resonate what women want and need. Made for the women by the women. Meaning that I would listen to what women actually desire from their underwear drawers. Therefore the brand will be completely transparent and this blog will ensure that everyone can see what goes on behind the scenes.
So now you know what I’m up to, I guess I should tell you a little more about me..
I am from a tiny village in Gloucestershire, where I live with my parents and sister and our two dogs (who are the light of my life). Sidney, our Cavapoo, can be seen in the picture above – you’ll have to excuse the smudges on the mirror, they’re his tongue marks or kisses as I prefer to tell myself.
I moved back home after completing my undergraduate degree in Contour Fashion in 2016. After graduating I went straight on to do my Masters in Fashion Management with Marketing, which I finished in September and will graduate again later this month (stay tuned for a blog post on this).
I also currently work as an Emergency Department Receptionist, which I have done for almost five years now. I love my job so much, and the people I work with really are the unsung heroes of society.
Other than that there’s really not much to know, just a normal girl, with big hair and bigger dreams, who wants to make a difference in the intimate apparel industry.
Thank you for reading, speak to you soon.
Harri xo
